Where I Shop (and You Should too!)

The New Year is here! Happy 2018 everyone, let’s make this the best year yet. I have a lot of lofty goals that I can’t wait to achieve, and I hope all of you are feeling the same way. I think the best way to start 2018 is with a few additions to the wardrobe. However, doing so isn’t possible if you don’t know all of the best places to go looking for new pieces. So with that being said, here is my list of favorite places to shop!

H&M

H&M is hands down my favorite store to shop at. It has all of the latest trends, often at cheap prices. Every time I go in there I find at least two or three items that I just have to get. This store is perfect for people who want to stay fashionable without breaking the bank. The only caution I would throw in with H&M is about the quality of their clothing. Some items are worse than others, but I think that comes to be expected with many of those low price tags. Don’t look into it too much as most of the materials are more than fine as long as you are careful washing them. H&M has a great online store with endless options and even better deals. I check into their website almost weekly to look for new deals and any new items that catch my eye. In my opinion, this is absolutely the place to start if you’re looking to add to your wardrobe.

Forever 21

Forever 21 has many similarities to H&M. I’m sure many of you have been to one of these stores if you have a girlfriend in your life or something along those lines as it is ultra-popular for females. However, the men’s section should not be overlooked or slept on. To me, Forever 21 is even trendier than H&M, with many items being even a little bit too fashion forward for me. Forever 21 is another cheap option that will keep you trendy. Forewarning, some Forever 21 stores don’t have a men’s section so online may be the place to do your shopping.

ASOS

Asos is an online store based in the UK. It has a ton of variety, with over 850 brands being sold on their website. With all of these options, it can take some time to find what you are looking for but there is always something that catches my eye. For me, I use ASOS when I’m looking for something in particular. For example, I was on the search for some Chelsea boots so ASOS was the place for me as they have a ton of options at many different price points.

UNIQLO, Banana Republic, J. Crew and Express

I grouped these together because I feel they have a lot of similar styles and products. I’ve always used these stores when trying to get a little more dressy. I would almost describe them as best for business casual attire. Both companies produce quality products at reasonable prices.

ZARA

Zara is a Spanish-based store that has a great mix of everything in my opinion. They come out with a ton of new designs every year and are famous for being able to get a new product design into stores in just a week, which is incredible compared to the 6 month industry average. Because of this, they can really capitalize on trends and bring you everything that is hot right now. Zara has a ton of cool pieces in my opinion. Again, they have reasonable prices but you can really capitalize on their online sales.

Topman

Topman has a description of “high street” fashion, which I feel is very accurate. A lot of the clothing is meant as casual, everyday wear but it is definitely for those who like to give off an upscale vibe. Topman definitely hits on current trends and again, can be had for some fair prices when you shop the sales.

Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters has some really cool stuff and I always want to buy a ton anytime I’m there. They get all of the big name brands like Champion, North Face, Adidas, etc., but also have some of their own UO brands. A lot of these items have a little higher price tag than I am usually willing to spend, so the dollar doesn’t go quite as far at a place like this. However, if you have some extra spending money you wouldn’t have any issue finding something you like here.

Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack

These two stores are paired together for obvious reasons as Nordstrom Rack is the “outlet” of Nordstrom. Nordstrom has high-end brands and covers all categories. Nordstrom has very high price tags due to the high quality brands that they sell. Nordstrom Rack is the place for me as they get a lot of the same brands at discounted prices. This is a great place for footwear, whether it be dress shoes, boots, sneakers, or whatever else. Along with that, you can find some great options for athletic wear as well as dress clothes.

TJ Maxx/Marshalls

These stores have really become huge in the last few years and I definitely would not consider them to be anything of a secret. They have a ton of name brands at great prices. On top of that, they are essentially everywhere! I like to check into these stores often as their options are always changing.

Gap

Gap is a great store for quality, casual clothing. It definitely does not push the boundaries as far as trends, but they are very consistent with what they produce. They have some decent prices on many items, so it is definitely worth taking a look to see what you can pick up.

Amazon

Amazon Fashion is a little different than all of the rest. They have a lot of different options and you can easily search for specific items you are interested in. I’ve never really used Amazon much as far as clothing, but it is a great source for accessories.

So that does it, my list of favorite places to shop. With all of these options, you should absolutely be able to find something to take your style to the next level. I hope you found this helpful and thanks for reading!
